Established in 2024 as a result of the Nintendo v. Yuzu, emuXel (emu(pi)xel) is a news source that tackles all things emulation, preservation, and keeping gaming a hobby where no game is forgotten, lost, or discarded.
“Official” definition:
“Prescribed or recognized as authorized.”
“Unofficial” definition:
“Not authorized or acknowledged by a government, group, class, or society — not official”
Reselling or purchasing video games from a third-party vendor on sites such as G2A, Kinguin or physical copies on the likes of eBay or Amazon resellers is not an “official” channel yet game companies treat it as such while largely refusing to do anything about the 87%+ of retro gaming that has been lost to time.
PLEASE NOTE: emuXel does not condone, endorse, or promote piracy in favor of lawful means. Official channels that benefit the developer, publisher, and company that is selling the product should always be the first go-to.
